Before heading down to the beach, Heather and I stopped in Arbutus, MD to see my friend Evan play some songs. Here is “Rearrange My Life.” It’s the first video I really shot with my phone and uploaded to YouTube. Check out www.intoitoverit.com for more songs.

Beach life, continued.

Beach life, continued.

My body has no idea what time it is. (Frank Turner - “Jet Lag”)

For our last event, we had a farewell party at one of the kid’s estate in Sintra. I can’t even describe this house. Words don’t do it justice. There are gardens everywhere, a beautiful pool and pool house, an 18th century chapel IN THE HOUSE, a library complete with a secret door…seriously amazing. The father bought it and it was basically in shambles. He rebuilt it with the intention of selling it, but with the market what it is, he’s stuck sitting on it. What a problem to have. I didn’t want to be rude and take a ton of pictures of his house, but I had to take a few. You can also see the palaces of Sintra from the pool. Luxury.

A few pics from my last day in Lisbon.

After our three days of beaches, we took a bus to Santarem with the kids for our mini-camp. One of the boy’s grandfathers owns a farm that grows wine, nuts, and various other crops. This wasn’t your typical farm though. It was basically the equivalent of a southern plantation, Portuguese style. Sure, it was a working farm, but it was also totally fancy and beautiful. We stayed in the pool house, and it was definitely nicer than my apartment.

At some point we went to some outrageous beaches. I don’t even know what day it is at this point. All I know is that for three days I swam in some of the bluest water I’ve ever seen.

Busy

Miguel and I went to a few beaches the last few days and stayed at a friend of his father’s for a night. Needless to say, I’ve been busy, exhausted, and without wifi. I will say that the beaches have been beautiful, but I’m definitely getting a bit homesick at this point. Today we leave for mini-camp for three days, then the farewell party, then the flight home. These two weeks flew by.
